Because humans have a tendency to keep doing the same thing over, hoping to get a better result than the first time, and with over 50 million known chemicals, this allows for over 300 billion chemical compounds to create electrochemical reaction batteries that would take humanity to the 41st-century still trying to produce the perfect electrochemical reaction battery.
